You guys might have noticed by now that I've got something of a... sweet tooth. Nothing bad! I just enjoy my Sugar-Blasted Fruity McSours like every other star kitten out there, thanks very much! And also those delicious Brownie Ohs. That plus a bowl of chocolate milk? Mwah. Heavenly. But as good as breakfast cereals loaded with EXTRA HEALTHY MARSHMALLOWS SUGARS are, they can never compare to the buttercream wonder of the real thing: cake. Cake, my friends. Sweet, delicious, frosted cake. Is there anything better? Yes, but only one thing. MORE CAKE. I've been craving it like crazy but Cygnus is putting me on some kind of diet -- something about how the gravity here on Gaia is different and I'm starting to get paunchy from all the Candy Hearts I ate. As if. Still, thoughts of delicious pastry haunt my every thought. At least one good thing came out of it; I turned that hunger into some inspiration, and voila! Ah, Friday at the end of February. What better day could there be for some scientifical experimentationing? Or for making up new words? There simply couldn't be! We've had a wonderful week here at the Evolving Item Labs, testing out all sorts of wild new theories and collating tons of beautiful, beautiful raw data. I tell you, nothing sets my heart aflutter more than seeing columns upon columns of numbers, just waiting for some good old-fashioned statistical analysis. Of course, my first love is and always will be Evolving Items! And we've got a real magnificent showing for you today. Let's take a closer look at Adamant Vault and Hardhearted and get this report on the road!

Adamant Vault: It seems that our leading lady managed to become famous enough that she started to get invited to royal events! The jewels you find in the vault this week are from this era, where having a tiara wasn't just a luxury, but also a necessity. It seems that you've found a luminous tiara, a glamorous overdress, a diamond studded wig, and a blazing diamond halo.

Hardhearted: You find yourself totally addicted to this amazing new sound! It inspires you to try changing up your style and cutting your hair -- you even try out some new piercings that you performed yourself! Ouch... Ah, the color blue. So soothing! So calm! Like a clear sky on a crisp autumn day. At least, that was what Cygnus told me was his inspiration behind this latest "piece" of his. Hah! Check this out. I was going through Cygnus' things while he wasn't lookin' -- sometimes he hides the candy from me in his room, so I gotta do a little snooping to find it -- and I found something totally weird. But also kind of awesome? Weird that he has it, I guess, but awesome for you guys. So Cygnus sometimes likes to try and customize his "action figures" as he likes to call them, right? Dude's gotta have hobbies. Turns out, though, that he made a ton of wigs for 'em! Like, nice ones. Ones that I kinda wanna pop on my head and rock. All right, critters! Listen up! I'm gonna give you some advice here. You're new to dealing with humans, and that's okay. They're kind of weird. But I've been around them long enough and I've learned a few tricks. One: do not poke humans in the eyeballs if you can avoid it. Apparently they don't think it's as funny as you do. Two: humans are excellent for getting things down from high places. Utilize this tip whenever possible, as it is one of their main functions. Three: if you are as pathetic and adorably helpless as possible, the humans will fall all over you in an attempt to take care of you. No, seriously! One time I pretended Cygnus stepped on my tail and he felt so bad about it he totally let me take a nap in his lap. And while Cygnus might not be human, the underlying principle is sound. Now, to help you master this art, I've devised a new item that is sure to pull a few heartstrings...

BEHOLD. No person could resist such utterly agonizing cuteness! Wearing this around and making sad faces at the humans will totally get you far, believe me. This works like a charm. Ah, spring! It's so close I can practically smell it! You know what it smells like? Sunshine, daisies, fresh grass, and adorable woodland critters. Well, okay, maybe not that last part. In fact I bet woodland critters probably don't smell that great. But I'm pretty excited for the season to start changing!
