Look, guys, I'm gonna tell you a little bit of a secret about myself... But you gotta swear that you'll keep it quiet, okay? Promise? Good. So, the truth about me is that I talk a big game, but sometimes when it gets right down to it I'm kind of a scaredy cat. I especially can't stand horror movies! Ghosts and ghoulies just really don't do it for me, I'm afraid. Literally! But the problem is Cygnus lives for horror films. He watches them all the time! Sometimes I think he does it just to upset me. But to save face, I gotta sit there and watch them with him and just... Ugh! Ugh! They make my fur stand on end, everyone. I hate it! But y'know, the other night we were watching this movie about a guy who lives in an asylum, and he's haunted by this creepy nurse ghost, and -- well, y'know, the parts I could watch through my paws were pretty interesting! So I decided to take some of that inspiration and run with it, and now I've crafted a creepy item that promises to make your skin crawl! Check it out -- if you DARE:

Oh boy, Gaians. Are you guys sitting down for this? 'Cause you might wanna be. Something crazy is going on and I'm not even entirely sure how to explain it! I guess I oughta just start from the beginning... For a while now I've run a little blog, posting about my life on Gaia and what it's like to be a talking cat in what is, essentially, a human's world! Sometimes it's a little tough, but I couldn't picture anywhere else being as amazing a place as Gaia is -- particularly for us talking animals! Of course, I just wrote the blog for fun. I didn't think anyone ever actually read it! Little did I know that, apparently, I had a larger audience than I thought. My latest post on how wonderful Gaia is got a lot of attention from other talking animals, and now they've all flooded my store demanding to be a Gaian just like I am! It's crazy, guys! But I can't turn them away. I mean, Gaia really is the best place to be if you're a talking kitty. Or a talking bear. Or a talking wolf. But I'm getting ahead of myself!

Basically, we've got a bunch of adorable new animals running around Gaia who want to dress up and look fabulous, just like everyone else. And who am I to say no?! As long as they don't make me wear any pants, I'm totally okay with all these new friends. I'm going to do everything I can to make them feel as welcome as possible! And so I've started a little "animal's only" section of Barton Boutique, filled with plenty of great basics to help get our new pals situated! I even got a couple of them to model my newly minted fashions. Take a look!

This is just a small sample of what you can pick up from my store, Barton Boutique. I've also talked to Vanessa and she agreed to put out some stylish products for the critters in Salon Durem as well! Oh, and also Natasha from Skin Tyte promised to help out a little too. Now, I'm sure you're all wondering how you can help our new friends acclimate. Because remember: these guys aren't pets, they're Gaians just like you and me! And so I've devised a buddy system that's easy as can be! Simply visit your avatar dress up to pick out your new pal with the handy dandy button above your avatar! You can choose from a wonderful wolf, cute cat, or a beautiful bear! Once you've made your selection, you're free to dress them up as you see fit! They'll even appear in forums and towns and everything! After all, they want to be Gaians just like the rest of us.

So, Gaians. Can you bearly contain your joy over this amazing new feature? Does it make you want to howl with excitement? Are you mewing for more? Well, don't worry! I'm here to make sure these guys get the full Gaian experience, and so you can be sure that there will be tons of new content coming out for our new fuzzy friends shortly! For now, let's help them all get situated and give them all a big, friendly welcome! It's time to unleash all our inner animals! Rawwwwrrr.

So, I heard from Rufus that tons of new animals have suddenly shown up on Gaia. And you know what? I think that's great! There oughta be more of us talking animals, honestly. Loads more! Thousands! AND THEN THEY WILL CHOOSE ME AS THEIR LEADER AND I WILL RULE THEM ALL. AHAHAHAH --

I mean. Um. Ahem. Annyyyywaaayy, I'm excited to greet all these new critters. So long as none of them are cuter than me -- and I am almost positive that it's impossible to be cuter than me, honestly -- I don't have a problem with them! Oh man. Just when I thought today couldn't possibly get any more exciting, that huge, smelly dog wonderful shopkeeper P.U.G. sent me more unexpected presents! You'd think he might wrap the delivery boxes or something, but eh. I guess I can't complain! All right, just gotta use my claws here to rip this box open. That's always a little tricky, but surprisingly satisfying. Aww man, what's with all the packing peanuts?! AUGH, I just wanna see what's inside! Just a little more and... OH WOW, it's so cute!

Looks like that weird dog sent us Spinel Flourish Wings and Amethyst Spiked Wings! Boy, I really love the colors. I like the Spinel ones myself, but I've got a hunch Cygnus is gonna prefer the Amethyst ones on account of them being purple. Well, I'm going to stock these right away! Does anyone else ever wonder what life would be like if all the color suddenly drained out of the universe? Like, if everything just became black, white, and a little grayscale? Would it be kinda like an old-timey film, you think? I bet people would revert to wearing awesome fedoras and coats, with the ladies swoonin' all over the place in their flouncy skirts. Or, you know, maybe it would be nothing like that. More importantly: if the world was nothing but black and white, would I still sparkle as amazingly as I do now? Y'know, these are deep questions, and I couldn't even begin to think up answers for them. But I can explore that strange black and white universe a little with some recolors! Like this one I've just come up with -- take a look!

Aww, man. Can you believe February is already almost over? What jerk decided to make this month so much shorter than all the other ones? I like February! What other months have holidays that you celebrate with copious amounts of candy? ... Besides October. Oh, and I guess whichever month Easter happens to fall in. Also, I think a lot of people eat candy on Christmas? Okay, maybe that isn't the best argument for adding more days to February. But it doesn't matter! I feel like it should come as no surprise to anyone that I've gotten tons of compliments on my amazing eyes. I mean, I think they're the real source of all my sparkle! And you can tell a lot about a person from their eyes, too. Why, I can look someone in the eye and tell you exactly what their eye color is. That's a real skill! Does anyone else smell that? There's a distinctly pungent aroma in the air, wouldn't you say? I can't quite tell what it is, but it does smell rather delicious. Is someone cooking? Strange, there are no restaurants anywhere near here. My goodness, something about this smell is so enticingly familiar, though! It really takes me back. Did you know that I once enjoyed cooking? It's true. Before I entered my current line of work, I'd spend hours upon hours slaving over a hot stove, crafting an expert dish that would be sure to impress my parents and friends. My specialty? Grilled cheese sandwiched between two patties made of raw ramen noodles! It's... it's a lot better than it sounds, believe me. Ah, yes. I truly used to dream big, my friends. Maybe I ought to head on down to my kitchen and see if I still have the magic within to create culinary delights. TO MY RECIPE BOOK!

Starless Artemis and Mint Artemis available in La Victoire!

So, let's talk about Artemis! No, not the Greek goddess of hunting and all that -- she's been talked about enough, trust me. We don't need to go over her. No, I'm talkin' about everyone's favorite adorable little spirit, our Artemis! She's a plucky little gal, ain't she? Doesn't even let the whole "being undead" thing stop her from achieving her dreams. And what were those dreams? Why, to be closer to space, of course! Well, technically the sky and the moon. But I mean, we all know the real reasons behind that, right? She wanted to be like us awesome star people! Right? I mean, I assume that has to be the real reason. Why else would she wanna be that high up? Heights are awful! I can deal with them now, but they used to make me get all spacesick. Well, anyway, I'm kind of getting off topic. What I'm trying to say is I like Artemis! And so I took her signature clothes and decided to make some new versions in fashionable colors! Check it out:

Even Zombie Artemis won't hesitate when it comes to her dreams! These lovely new recolors are Mint Artemis and Starless Artemis and they're as cute as buttons, if buttons were actually cute.
