EI Report: Zodiacal Equinox & L'Histoire de Mephiste

Hello, Scienteers! Sciencalists? I need a better word for someone below an esteemed scientist, but above a mere science enthusiast. What would you say to "Sciencers?" Hello, Sciencers! It is yet another brisk autumn day, perfect for scouting out new developments in our beloved Evolving Items, and for learning to science up a cup of hot chocolate! Some may say that's a misuse of lab equipment and precious resources, but it's like, why not have hot chocolate made from deeply genetically modified cocoa beans that make you glow in the dark and ooze semi-safe levels of radioactive material if you have that kind of technology? It's a waste not to do it. Innovation at work, I say! But let's not tarry any further, it's time to see the next development of the fascinating Zodiacal: Equinox and L'Histoire de Mephiste!

Zodiacal: Equinox: This month, the Astrolabe has turned towards the constellation Libra! Balanced and harmonious, Libras are sure to charm anyone hey have their eye on! Recolored in some stunning black and gold hues, this new evolution brings us a gorgeous wig!

L'Histoire de Mephiste: Many generations ago, an ylven queen, mad with the fear of usurpation, made a dark pact to ensure her bloodline reigned forever.

The demon appeared to her in the dead of night, perched at the foot of her bed. Was it a man? Was it a crow? One eye glowed red and its voice raked over her mind like a claw gloved in silk.

And for generations the royal bloodline was preserved with cold, loveless unions. The kingdom slept in endless twilight while the demon’s curse waited in their blood like a disease of inheritance. Empty hearts were joined in political marriage, one after another, and all was safe until the princess Briar laid eyes on Saffron, in all their warm golden splendor. Her blood warmed, and the disease spread.
