It’s that time of the year again, Gaians: school is officially back in session. Now, I’m sure most people are more than happy to gripe and moan about their days in the schoolyard, but not me. How I miss those heady, youthful days! The smell of freshly sharpened pencils, the weight of a calculator nestled comfortably in my front shirt pocket alongside a carefully selected array of pens, the unbridled joy of winning the perfect attendance award eight years in a row, the bitter sting of Gina DeMarco declining my invitation to prom by literally laughing in my face… All fond, happy memories! Well, except maybe the bit about Gina DeMarco. I thought I’d already repressed that one.
